⁴² son of Ethan, son of Zimmah, son of Shimei,

⁴³ son of Jahath, son of Gershon, the son of Levi.

⁴⁴ Forsooth the sons of Merari, the brethren of them, were at the left side; Ethan, the son of Kishi, son of Abdi, son of Malluch, (And their kinsman, Ethan, the son of Merari, who stood at their left side, that is, Ethan, the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,)
